“I am looking to insure a drywall contractor who sometimes installs the wooden studs for the walls where they drywall will be attached, should this be separately classified to code 91340 – Carpentry – construction of residential property, or would this be incidental to code 92338 – Dry Wall or Wallboard Installation?” Michael P, Agent

Good question…  Normally the installation of studs for walls is completed by a carpentry contractor, thus I would recommend the addition of code 91340 – Carpentry – construction of residential property not exceeding 3 stories in height, code 91341 Carpentry – interior, or code 91342 – Carpentry – NOC would be appropriate.

For workers compensation, code 5445 Iron or Steel Erection: Steel Frame – Interior – Light Gauge Steel: by contractors engaged in wallboard installation & drivers would be used.
